    Nope, that’s procurement trying to save a buck. Had that happen at a company I used to work for. They thought they would save the company a few bucks when they looked at the spec’s of a new network switch with redundant power supplies that was ordered. They ordered the lighter duty power supplies that together provided the needed amperage for the switch and not the heavy duty power supplies that could individually power the switch.

    This wasn’t discovered until they lost power to one power supply and the other failed to keep the switch up....we lost the entire network. Hilarity ensued after that...
