I think the chrony beta master I got in the mail is actually a chrony gamma master with printer. I traded a $50 academy card, a $25 Cabela's card, and $10 for it.

I didn't do much, but I made up a batch of 9.3x57mm Mauser.

The mold I used is a NOE 368-285-FN. After lube and a gas check, it weighs in at just under 295 gr.

It'll thump you around a bit, lol. Not that bad though.

Impressive round! If you want to help add one to my collection I'll gladly buy a live or dummy round from you and pay shipping on it.

still working at brass processing but seeing the end on that.

does anyone know anything about frontier rifle brass? I made a big score at the club and as I decapped it all I got to thinking "why did they leave ~100 pieces of brass on the ground"?
it decapped easily so well see.

Another name under the Hornady label.
Yep, Hornady but I haven't seen it in a while.

My understanding is Hornady bought Frontier but they may have started the company too then changed the name once acceptance was gained.

    Coating and sizing bullets.

Mixed two different Hi-Tek colors together and came up with this nice black gold.

Also got my competition belt dialed in.

Blasted through the last of my unknown cast 9mm bullets(dang i'm glad that's done), deglocked(run through a bulge buster)the last of my 40cal brass.

Impatiently waiting for my trimpro to get here from CA.

Started trimming the multitude of folgers coffee cans I have of cleaned, decapped, once-fired 556 brass. That lasted all of five flipping minutes. I'm having issues(possibly operator error!)with my Giraud triway trimmer. Come on trimpro!

My buddy(I was there so this fits here, right?)tried out some unknown .327 rounds in, I think, a Golden Boy(?)lever action that squibbed(that put him in a mood!)but he showed me his castings for this rifle. Dammit I need to get into this! It's just that I have the wrong house setup(garage is the closest part to the street and I can see some lookyloo calling the law and we don't really have any friends here). Jeez I wish I'd done this when I had my warehouse; hell, I thought about making it a personal gun range after I got my cans!

Oh well, what the hell. I got to look for a job now.

    Where are you at?

And are you frustrated because you ran out of stuff to do?

Last night I sized and retumbled about 300 223s. I intended to trim, ream, and reprime them but got distracted consolidating/organizing a couple ammo cans of 12ga loads. Then started looking up load data for 1oz loads for these new wads I got.

Then I realized my wife didn't fall asleep early and wanted to watch TV so I hung out with her.

Tomorrow I have a plumbing class in Buda all day but after I'm gonna stop at cavellas and pickup a pound of h110 and maybe some 357 bullets and a few primers. I've got 50x 454, 100x 357, and 150x 10mm to load up.

I bought the Lyman 50th recently, Mounted my primer catch, set up my trimmer for 223, and now I'm trying to figure out setting up to resize my .223 brass for my AR. Also added more lights.

I was told do about 1/8th turn cam over, but I think I need to dial that in better.

I can't remember the exact setback for an AR but I think it's something like .003-.005? I'll research that.

The simple answer is to put the ram all the way up, screw the die in until it touches the shell holder, lock it, and size away if you go by the directions. Most manufacturers used to recommend a little cam over but they don't seem to anymore.

I prefer a touch of cam over like you are saying, 1/8 turn or so. I like the feel of knowing I am sizing as much as possible.

As a beginner pick either and go with it. Just be sure at full lock the die and shell holder touch while sizing.

There seems to be a trend of just bumping the shoulder back a few thousandths or neck sizing with a full length sizing die. I don't care for either especially for people new to reloading and definitely not for auto loading rifles.

    +1

Except on my Lee single stage I put the arm down half way so it parallel with the floor. Then I screw my die in until it touches. With the lee I can remount the arm in several positions so everything lines up right.

I do this just so I can tell by feel that it's sizing fully and I can feel the ram hit the die. I've checked the dies and shell holders for wear and haven't found any in several thousand 223 rounds. I'm also not whacking the die with the ram super hard or anything... Just enough pressure to push the case into the die.
