Any one ever handle or shoot a Chiappa 22 mag Rifle. They almost look like a toy and are really lite with a wire butt stock. They fold up for ease of backpacking. At $171.00 I think it would be a good rifle to play around with to see if I could make decent plinker out of one.

Can’t speak to the rifle you asked about but my experience with Chiappa products overall is poor.
    Approach with caution.
I went out and put ~300 rounds through my Rhino yesterday.

While I am not ready to agree with "poor" I will say it isn't up to say S&W or Ruger quality levels.

That's my only experience with any of their products. I will post a review shortly.

What moonpie said. I handled and looked one over. Was not impressed.

Consider 200-300 dollars for something light, fun, but also useful. I love my ruger American in 22 mag. Can’t go wrong with a 10/22 built the way you want. Stretching more into 350 and up I’m a fan of the sub2000 in 9mm. Probably the only keltec guns I will own. I run mine suppressed as my primary pest gun.

I don't think I've ever fired the sub 2000. I have been really thinking about getting one.. Like I need another 9mm firearm...

For cheap plinking I prefer my SW M&P 22

The buttstock is not the stock one. I replaced it with the one that came with my DB15CCB and put a bushnell TRS25. I only have one magazine because they're expensive.

You’re always welcome to shoot mine. Today I’m also bringing a 10/22. Haven’t shot a 22lr in a while. FYI I do my shooting in the Palmer area. Orbitup also uses a range near that area I believe. Haven’t gotten the time to head that way. One of these days work will give me a Saturday off lol
