    In the woods...
The only “safe king” I have is the Mossberg bolt action 410 I got for Christmas when I was 8. Everything else gets shot fairly regularly.
Amazing! I got on of those on my tenth birthday! It never would cycle properly with more than one round in the magazine (only holds two), so it was always a 2 shot - one in the chamber and one in the mag. Many a squirrel fell to that bolt action .410. And I still have it.

Mine took squirrel, rabbits, and lots of dove. I took it apart when I was 12 and reattached the magazine when it started jamming. Just one little screw holds it in place. I definitely got spoiled by that adjustable choke.

No safe kings or queens. If they can't be shot when I want they are gone. Got no use for dust collecting artifacts. No one to inherit them anyway.

That's weird, most people shoot their guns at the range.

It’s easier to shoot them in the safe. You don’t have to load them up, drive to the range, pay a range fee, unload, than reload after you are done shooting. You just shoot them then put them right back. It’s the new craze. I think it will catch on soon.

1913 Police DWM Luger. the lube gets sticky every 5 to 10 years so I clean it shoot it a few times and clean it again. It some how found its way to France where father in law found it in the dirt a couple of days after "D" Day. It has many unproven stories. But someone nickel plated it, so it has no real value. I never got anybody to take the blame for the nickel job. That it exists is enough for me.

Probably a pre-Civil War made shotgun that was traced back to who actually carried it during that conflict. The Richards Company in England made it and it's easy to see the good quality workmanship that went into building it. For something a bit newer, my CAR15 I guess.

I shoot all of them. The closest to a Safe King would be the old Remington Wingmaster 870 12-gauge from 1958 that I inherited from my grandfather. I do take it out and shoot it every so often.

My SKS's... Norinco type 56 carbines is what i think they are, they are tricked out with Tapco stocks, muzzle brakes and detachable mags. This reminded me to get them out and oil them. Its been years. They are fun and inexpensive to operate. Thanks for reminding me! I will have them barking down range at the next opportunity.
