I have heard a little about it and its all been very good.

ELMAX steel is a "high chromium-vanadium-molybdenum-alloyed steel," made of 1.7 percent carbon, 18 percent chromium, .3 percent manganese, 1 percent molybdenum, .8 percent silicon, and 3 percent vanadium. This composition allows for the metal to have a high wear resistance, high compressive strength, superior corrosion resistance, and a very good dimensional stability, or the ability to retain its size and form even after taking abuse.

    I just ordered this one

    The handle is C-Tek.
The knife is about 7 1/2 inches overall and the blade is 3.125 inches long
It’s called the Classic Utility Caper

I usually go for a knife with at least a slight thumb ramp and some file work on top, but this one caught my eye for sure. Hope to have it in a day or so and can do a video for you guys.

Info on it I looked up shows it to be similar to CPM-S30V, which is pretty tough steel. DON'T let it get dull, or you'll spend forever trying to get it sharp.

I see a lot of people buying cheap knives and wondering why they don't hold up. Gun shows attract big displays of super-shiny junk knives. A quality blade can slice the edge off of a cheap blade. I think you'll like this purchase.

Everyone needs at least one cheap toss away knife in the truck for when your in a bind and have to strip wire or pry on something.
Other than that its quality for me.
When someone ask me to use my knife, the first words out of my.mouth ..
"What are you going to do with it?"

So, Elmax is the description of the type of steel in the blade - like another might be made of CPM-S30V or 8Cr13MoV or whatever??
