Randall Firearms....took me 32 years to put together one of each of their models in .45 (that they made more than 100 of). Nothing funnier than seeing the look on someone's face when they realize they're looking at a Southpaw .45....lol

    Speaking of of all 45s

I had parts for a star model si but needed a barrel and a few other parts. It was a 32acp mini 1911. Cute little feller. I always wanted to get it working. Wound up trading it for a complete 380 star mini 1911 though.

The real SIGs come to my mind, made in Neuhausen Switzerland and also the Swiss Hammerlis. Those guns were made a like fine Swiss watches.

Damn, that thing is huge for a .32. I bet it feels like shooting a CO2 BB gun.

No it was tiny. The frame was about the same size as my taurus 709 or a Ruger lc9. All metal though. I picked it up as a complete frame and stripped slide. Really wanted to get it going for my wife but a collector traded me a working 380 model for it. Now the wife has a Ruger LC380. Still doesn't shoot it.

Randall did make a nice 1911.

The Star UltraStar 9mm. One of the very early polymer framed pistols, before anyone actually knew just how polymer would stand up. They included lots of internal bracing and steel inserts at wear points. The gun felt like an all steel frame but was significantly lighter. It was about the size of the Sig P225 but with a far lower bore axis, ambi safety/decocker and better sights.

Browning BDM 9mm. A truly great idea, 9mm, switchable between DA/SA mode and DAO mode, user adjustable sights, super slim profile, ambi safety/decocker standard.

Robinson M96. The XCR is interesting.....I guess...... but not nearly as cool as a Stoner 63 clone.

    Magnum research Mountain Eagle.
I only sold mine because magazines became unobtainable.
Most accurate pistol I ever held.

Was the proud owner of a BKS starlight in the wee 70s. Unfortunately it made me as nervous as a working lady at church to try to carry it around cocked and locked.1911 clones are not nice. John Browning was sorta nutty.

Put me down for the Browning BDM and the Robinson M96. I think if someone brought back the M96, they would sell quite well.

Took my Ruger kp-85 out yesterday. Still shoots just as good as my XDm 5.25". Military screwed up when they passed it over for the berretta.

ETA: luckily there's enough of these guys laying around still. They'll never truely be defunct!

There’s been rumors for a while that RA might bring back the M96, but nothing certain. Alex Robinson is a little peculiar so there’s no telling what he’ll do. If they do bring it back, I hope they finish the belt feed conversion and sell spare parts. I’m always paranoid of breaking a firing pin and having a paperweight.

View attachment 163496 Savage striker great hunting pistol 2+1, never owned one but looks cool and is deadly accurate.
Very cool. Never seen that one. Bet it was popular with the rich open class Metallic Shilloute shooters. They were gravitating to TC single shots in 7.mm-O8 back in 80s. or about the time I lost interest in the hobby. Actually I lost interest in reloading. That is some boring stuff..but poor boys nearly had to do it in that hobby. Should make a great sniper gun for any would be soldiers of fortune in our midst.
