Looks like the youtube investigative journalist got picked in McAllen on an old sexual assault of a child case. He was already a convicted sex offender.

Yeah I saw that. It is interesting timing that after 17 year they "found" new evidence. Just a few days ago he was protesting outside Joe Grimaldi's office, stirring the pot.

KBTX, the local news channel in B/CS, had a story today about no-knock warrants. Obviously tied in to Houston and the fiasco but interesting to see it discussed locally.

BCSD said they train 16 hrs/month on tactics and procedures. Bryan PD said they hadn’t done one recently and CSPD didn’t respond.

With all the agencies here I got to thinking that perhaps only one agency should be the one to execute those and should have strict guidelines in place prior to. My vote would be for only the Sheriff’s Department as he is the only elected official and is more easily held responsible and potentially voted out of office should he exceed his authority.

According to the article, in the 109 cases in the last 7 years no guns were entered into evidence. Even if the guy was lying about guns to claim as justification for a no-knock, I would think that he would have seized at least some by random chance. I'm thinking this guy (and his people) were selling any guns they found on the black market.

    Sounds like the right path.

In almost 20 years of being on various forums you win the prize of finally figuring out my username. I loved listening to Outkast back in high school and picked that as a username on AOL and never got around to changing it.

I figured it out the first time I saw it, wasn't aware it was a mystery!

No ... The really bad part is that an innocent couple and their beloved pet were all murdered in their own home.

I wasn't referencing the killing part. I was referencing the police corruption part. Obviously someone's life is the most important. Go back and read it in context.
