He is not personally involved in trafficking. He just went there for the sex. I've seen these stories before. The Johns get arrested for solicitation, and it would be hard to prove they knew the girls ages. Its likely they didn't know they were under age.
But the people running the place will do time for trafficking. Them getting to bust the Johns is just icing on the cake for the investigators I suppose. For sure its an opportunity it expose local folks as perverts to the general public.
I read about one of these things in Waco. They arrrested about 15 guys, a couple were pretty high profile business owners. Dan of Uncle Dan's BBQ was one arrested. Much like this story, big article showing who all got arrested for solicitation. Then another follow up story about the people who were trafficking the young girls. But without the trafficking investigation, there are no arrests for solicitation.
There is a huge movement nationwide targeting trafficking, and I am glad to see it. There are lots of other options, and you almost never hear of solicitation arrests of people getting with those ladies.
Trafficking is much different, and its definitely not a new word for prostitution. Its young girls, often age 14-16, but sometimes older, who are forced into prostitution. Big difference from the back page ladies.

I wanted to clarify that all of the reports are are say he was charged with solicitation....
Your post and OPs thread title, I thought would lead someone to think he was part of the sex trafficking ring..
I understand the difference, my point was that the term is being over used in place of straight out prostitution these days.
I think its because most prostitution stings these days are focused on trafficked girls (and boys). Trafficking has become such a plague on our nation, LE seems focused on that instead of traditional prostitutes. Regular old prostitutes seems to be getting a pass these days.
