So after your research you couldn't find the number of children sexually abused in public schools? Really.

I didn’t try because it’s not my job to prove your position. It’s yours.

How about this. Kids are safer in public schools than in any other environment when it comes to sexual assault. Look it up and post the numbers you find. Not my job to do it for you.

    Why would I look?
    You say they're not reported.

No don’t go trying to make sense of this. Just accept his claim and move along

Also, 1 in 5 women are sexually assaulted in college. Rape culture is real. Listen and believe damn you.

    That place east of Waco....
One of teachers let go was a baseball coach if that makes you feel better. Amazingly that same teacher was arrested months prior for a DUI crash leaving the county fair. At the same county fair 7-10 HS students ODed on xanax. Daughter told me the teacher went to many HS parties. I suspect he mixed his booze with xanex and that contributed to his crash. Crazy how the teachers union let him keep his job.

Admin were all former teachers. The admin positions were a revolving door. When the teachers got ready to retire they would work a couple years as admin then leave with a boosted retirement. Total racket. The district was paying for so many teacher retirements they couldn't afford books.
Seems that the administration was to blame for keeping this bad apple, not the unions. Goes to my point....we need to get administrators and politicians out of the way. And we need to stop blaming and punishing good teachers for the actions of the bad ones.....what do you think they are, gun owners?

......and I guess you can put that with all your other "unreported" statistics.

Excellent, this sounds more like you want to help stop or at least reduce the number of Child victims.

Children are abused everywhere. Including places that one would expect to be a safe haven for children, tax payer funded institutions. Millions of children have been sexually abused at public schools.

The Union would not let admin fire him. When funding was tight he was one of the first to go.

Do you think the union will find him a job working with children again?

    You say they're not reported.

Sorry I missed this contribution to the thread. Didn't mean to leave you gnawing on cob.

While many cases of child sexual abuse are totally undocumented. There are many documented cases that don't get reported on the news. Or cases that are reported to schools but don't get reported to police. Or teachers that get removed from one school because of complaints but the union allows them to get work at another school and they abuse again.

Having a readily available data base of child abuse cases at public schools with the names of offenders would make it easier to decide where to send your child. Of course without vouchers parents don't have a choice.

No one is blaming good teachers for the actions of bad teachers, Sir. Good teachers don't like the bad ones anymore than you or I.

Thankfully I was able to move schools and we are blessed with great schools and great teachers. I feel bad for the folks who don't have a choice and are stuck.

Post up statistics. Show me the scope of the problem.

Sounds to me like you want to tackle a problem when you have no idea of the scope. That’s irrational. Irrational solutions only serve to waste money without actually solving any problems.

So we have lots of reasons that support vouchers. Are there any reasons not implement a voucher system?

I only saw one argument against them and I don’t even think that member was against them. Who are you trying to convince?

    I think you’ve gotten confused.

Someone convicted of sexually abusing a child isn’t allowed near a school, much less teach or work there. So I don’t know what you expect to accomplish.

If you want to bypass our justice system and simply base it off accusations....well, I think Kavanaugh would side against you when the law was challenged in front of SCOTUS. This gets back to the comment I made about being irrational and how it doesn’t work out.

Also, you can check the sex offenders database online. Recommend everyone check it out.

I've led you to water youngun. If you want to live ignoring the problem that's on you. Millions of children have been sexually assaulted in public schools.

There seems to be a growing number of people who think adults sexually assaulting children is not a problem, maybe you're in that camp.
