    deemus,

IF you have an HEB nearby, they often have FRESH/LOCALLY PRODUCED lamb. = GOOD for sure.

I can't cook it right. That's why I only eat it when I go out. There are a couple of places around here that do it well.

    deemus,

Fyi, I'm "fairly famous" among my local Army buddies & their XYLs for doing "mixed grills" with 5 meats, 5 salads, 5 vegetables, 5 breads, 5 desserts, etc. at Summer parties
LAMB is always one of the 5 meats, as I love charcoal-grilled lamb chops.

    yours, satx

    deemus,

Got a taste for mutton/lamb working in NZ, AUS and UK.

Lamb is way overpriced here in Texas, and more so in AR, but two of those were in the 'manager's special' bin at Randall's, two for $9 +/-.

I can't cook it right. That's why I only eat it when I go out. There are a couple of places around here that do it well.

I can't cook it like my ex from England did, but I experimented and cooked it sous vide this time. (135F for 2 hours). Turned out just like I remember it and well worth doing it again.

Wife doesn't eat lamb so I had the second one as leftovers for lunch the next day, heated up was just as good, if not better.

Everybody needs ideas for supper. Post your dinner. Spread the knowledge so your fellow man can make a decent dinner without using creation will power. Besides, it's hard to think when you're hungry.

    As for me,

Tonight's dinner is Chicken Fried Pork Fingers. Side dish is going to be potato something.

Deep fryer cuts dish count down. No pots to scrub.
Pretty sure we are having some variant of fried chicken. I know their is a chocolate merengue pie for dessert. The faithful house mouse makes them nearly as good as her Mama made em.

Another keto meal, though I miss my rice and gravy, it's not hard to get used to.

"Cowboy" beef burger, garlic/cheese mashed cauliflower, asparagus in lemon sauce.

I did something a little different.
We had grilled lemon pepper chicken, sauteed squash and zucchini with oregano, and one cutie orange each.

    Whats on that burger?

What's on the burgers prior cooking was a splash of soy sauce and Allegro Original Marinade. That sauce look most likely comes from the cheese and soy sauce caramelizing while broiling.

Done this same thing a number of times and it always looks the same when broiled.

Hamburger meat (80/20) was mixed with cheddar cheese and bacon chunks, and seasoned with Redmonds salt, black pepper and garlic powder, mixed together in a bowl and made into patties with a press.

No carbs in any ingredients, and the Allegro nutrition info shows less than 1g sugar.

    HTH ...

We are having the National Meal of Texas. Beans cornbread and pork chops. Probably a can of beanie weenies for dessert. PS just instructed the house mouse to add some fried Okry to the other food groups. She said Yes Sir! She knows how to dodge fat lips.
