I posted this picture in the funny picture thread and it spurred a little discussion so why not start a thread?

List the first 3 guns you bought here.

    10/22 from Kmart for $100
    MAK 90 for about $300
    CZ52 for about $200 I think

I still have the first two.

    All three are gone. But I still run 1911s in 45, 22TCM, 9mm & 10mm.

1st one was a old 870 Wingmaster in 12 gauge. My older brother is 2 years older than me so when he turned 18 we put our money together and he got it. He ended up being a Maverick and Mossberg guy so I got the 870. I still have it today but haven't shot it in years.

2nd was a Mini 14. This was in the early 2000s when ARs were really expensive but a new Mini 14 was somewhat cheap. I sold it to my older brother when he went to technical school in Houston. He ended up pawning it to make ends meet and I never saw it again.

3rd was a Ruger P90. 1911s were out of my price range but Rugers were cheap. I shoot it still and will never get rid of it.

    Out here by the lake!
Winchester model 37 single shot 12 gauge IIRC it was under $40.00 new
    Ruger 10/22 like $59.00 new
Traded the winchester in on a Ithaca model 37 & the single shot was worth more then it cost. It was then I figured out guns made more sense then gear heading cars like my older brother.

The first three that I bought were, a Taurus model 96 22LR, Colt series 70 1911 in satin nickel with black pachmayer grips, and a customized Springfield 03A3 in 300 Win Mag. Still have the handguns, sadly the rifle was stolen with 7 others.

Somewhere between ages of 6-8 I had been given a .22 short, .410, and a .22 SA pistol.
I still have both long guns, the pistol was stolen.

First gun I purchased myself was my G23c, around 1990, still used as my carry gun.
    Second was my 590 Mariner.
I don't recall the order of purchase after that.

    S&W Model 59 - Used from a pawn shop/Sold it :banghead:
Beretta 96fs - New - Still have it
The 3rd is also most likely some sort of version of the Beretta 92/96 series (I was going thru a phase) and I may or may not still have it. The memories from that time are very fuzzy. :p

I can't remember any prices from then.

Mossberg New Haven 12 ga. pump $125 at Best
    Ruger P89 9mm $319 (I think) at Oshman's
Weatherby Vanguard synthetic stock .270 $365 at Walmart

Also got a Browning Belgium A5 12 ga. and a 1950s Winchester .22 semi-auto rifle as hand-me-downs during the time period of the 3 buys listed above.

Still have them all except the Ruger P89 that I traded away a few years ago.
