    Out here by the lake!
It wasn't long ago I had uppers receiver with no lower receivers. Mainly I bought upper I wanted for my M-16.

I got into assembling lowers when Primary Arms was running Aeros lowers cheap. All of my upper have their own BCG. Not really an economic way to go, but it did pay off when I added the lower for complete guns. Then again it sucks when cleaning multiple uppers.

I have an AR pistol upper I bought without a BCG and it bothers me. I know you can always swap them around but I don't like the idea of it.

PSA runs a sale on a BCG for $50. I've been thinking about it.

I think my main reason is I like to keep a rough track of rounds thru a particular rifle. If the same BCG was used on 2-3 rifles it gets tripple duty.

All four of mine have their own BCG. They have not always been in the same rifle. I've got them where I want them now though.

    I have 3 uppers and 2 BCGs.

I can’t run 2 uppers on 1 lower at the same time so not gonna make that other BCG a priority.

All mine do. I'm mechanically challenged, so I have one in each. When I swap my 300 Blk over, I just need to pin the upper on.

What do you guys consider stocked when it comes to AR lowers? Wondering if I'm extremely or more in the norm.

Considering the pricing of complete uppers or kits in the 125-175 range and also considering that Primary puts them on for 29 bucks occasionally, I keep 3-4 on hand with BCG's for em. Never know when me or one of the kids may wanna build somethin.

I have spare bolt carriers, as I've purchased others along the way. Specifically, I've got some of the Gemtech 5.56 Suppressed bolt carriers. But I have no orphan uppers without a BCG.

I have one more BCG guess I have to build another upper now. I have just started building uppers now. Concentrate on building a good lower and then just uppers.
