Out of the box impression is favorable.
This thing is exactly what you'd expect. A very simple inexpensive S/A .22 revolver.
The frame/barrel finish is matte black. The cylinder is a polished black blue.
Grips are black plastic. I swapped out a pair of XR3-RED grips on it just to check grip frame size. The XR3-RED grips fit but were a bit short on the bottom edge.
Cylinder is free spin when loading gate is opened.
Chamber mouths seem generous. Forcing cone is plenty wide and deep.
Chambers a bit tight but I think with use will open up a tad.
    Extractor spring is quite strong.
As with all Rugers the mainspring is horrendously overpowered. It stout to cock.
I've already cut off four coils of the mainspring and it is still quite strong.
Trigger pull is gritty and kinda long. I think it will slick up just fine with use.
Overall it seems a better gun than a Heritage.
I'll go shoot it afterwhile. Still got some chores to get done.

Mighty suspicious, looks like it's on your bed....

    Well.....yeah. LOL.
I had to shoo the little rat terrier off the corner to take the pics. He lays there a lot and watches me. Especially when he thinks I have something to eat. He sits there and bores holes in the back of my head with his eyes.
