I’m weird in that I like to build. The laser cut kits really made that enjoyable, along with advanced coverings.

I helped build a rubber band powered Sopwith covered in tissue paper and dope with a mentor once. When he became terminal, he gifted me his entire collection. Unfortunately, time wasn’t kind to those models.

But they sure were beautiful.

Out here by the lake!

My dad build planes from scratch all the time. When slot cars were the big thing he built frames out of I guess brazing rods. He would tear the motors apart & re-gear them. Mr brothers cars never came off the tracks & won race after race.

Too windy for it but I flew anyways. Can’t stand a new plane collecting dust.

Handled it better than I expected. Probably won’t get to fly it again for a couple weeks with all the rain coming.

Sometimes you just know shit is probably gonna go south, lol.


It’s definitely a lot of fun once you get past the initial learning curve and can start looking for the planes you’d really like to fly. Can be as bad as BRD if you get the bug.
