    More multiculturalism. Isn't it great?

And isn't amazing that every single asshole going to shoot up a place now has a silencer? Ten bucks says its a compensator or a muzzle brake and some suburbia retard reporting the news things since it looks scary it must be a silencer

That’s what was off about it. He didn’t seem all that multicultural. Outward appearances give the impression he was pretty well seated in American culture.

    Sports flag postings on FB.

    Joined marines on 9/11

Proud Nebraskan. (However the hell that works)

From what it shows he definitely may have had some issues, but in this case they don’t seem related to any religious extremism. I’m willing to change my mind with info to the contrary, but it would take more than just knowing his name.

I know it's wishful thinking, but I still would like to see the Virginia Beach "silencer". The thing that gets me is how all those saying how the "silencer" was a big part in racking up bodies fail to mention he also shot another pistol without one. Did they just conveniently not hear the shots from that one?

    Bumpstock?
    They're illegal....

So technically, more of a felon in possession then a Marine.

Or a guy who vented while pissed off, said dumb shit, went on leave and tried to visit someone on base, got stopped because someone had worried about what he said and is now in deep shit for saying dumb things and being in possession of an illegal piece of plastic as well as several legal items and something that may or may not be a suppressor. (Fact that he couldn’t just take them on base not withstanding).

    Maybe he’s just dumb.

Idk, but gonna avoid the bandwagon for now.

I'm not making conclusions, but, I have yet to know ANY member of ANY branch of the Military that hasn't vented, cussed, screamed, made threats of or to, while meaning to or not on that part, or just plain done stupid shit at at the least one point in their career. If somebody had taken half the crap I said while in even half seriously, I'd still be in Leavenworth making small rocks out of boulders.

Probably has access to suppressors. Probably not that difficult to disappear one for personal use if he wanted.

Possible but highly unlikely. That red patch on his trousers means he’s a Landing Support Marine, definitely not a high speed guy. Also that stuff is pretty tightly controlled and he is only a PFC, they are watched over pretty well concerning armory things.

Either he built, bought, stole one or it’s not actually a suppressor.

That’s because his “silencer” was so good it worked on all nearby gunshots too.

At Ft Hood, when they do live fire, all rounds AND brass are accounted for as well as firearms. They are not released from duty until it is. Not enough spent brass? Back to the range, with flashlights if necessary until it is accounted for.

Had to go on Ft Hood yesterday for the first time in years.

The guy with me noticed the sign about barriers then asked why we didn’t have to stop at the gate while leaving.

Brought up a conversation about lockdowns if a rifle ever comes up missing. Nothing sucks more than it being noon on Friday and hearing someone lost a rifle. If it’s not recovered within an allotted time period the base goes on lockdown and nobody goes in or out.

It's DAMN difficult to make one disappear. The USMC takes weapon control very seriously. You have to sign them out and sign them in.

Hell, when I was in I was in charge of the OTV room. All the off road gear for the jeeps. Jacks, windshields, fording kits, shovels, and picks. If you needed it you signed it out. When it came back you sign them in. If something didn't come back I had to notify the First Sergeant, to cover my ass, whomever had signed it out was then on the hook for it. Either find it, shit it, or go to Mast and be punished for losing it.

When I was placed in charge of the OTV room I was handed a stack of paper work by the Sergeant who had been in charge, he told me just to sign it and not worry about doing an inventory because he had verified that everything was there. I might have been young but I wasn't dumb. I insisted on an inventory. We were over $100K short of equipment. We only had four fording kits when we were supposed to have 36, there were only five windshields, supposed to have 36.

Guess who's ass ended up in Leavenworth for selling Government equipment?

Don’t think the person in the story was worried about Leavenworth.

I was an armorer in the USMC. You arent getting your hands on one unless your are marsoc or an armorer attached to a marsoc unit. I have never seen one inside of the divisin armories I worked in

The Commandant has asked for suppressor for everyone. There was a battalion that did a test last year and the results were outstanding.
