Not at all. Ammo is expensive, it to big to conceal easily, a good holsters expensive for it, I personally don't care for the recoil of the .44 mag and it's not a gun you will shoot a lot. The old been there done that might apply to more then myself.

A couple of years ago I bought a few M29 (no dash) revolvers. All were in "collector" shape. I now know that Inspector Callahan is a far better man than I am when I see him shoot his 6" M29 one handed and hardly flinches.
The M29 is a great gun, but 10 to 15 rounds at the range is about all I can stand.
If you reload, ammo can be far less expensive than factory.
You can also tailor your load to make the M29 shoot like a 44 Special. Easier on you and easier on your firearm.
Everyone needs a M29. Wait until you get to the range and touch off that first round. Both you and everyone else in attendance will be amazed. Some may even move farther down the line!!
At $800 dollars with the box and parts shown this is a reasonable deal.
