Bwhahahahaha.... Boss tried to give me a cellphone, pay for the device and the plan, and I politely declined. I can easily afford $40/month for unlimited everything, and NOT be on call 24/7. I gladly pay that myself.

The two photos on this Instagram page show the announcement of Pope Benedict in 2005, and then the same thing for Pope Francis in 2013. The change in just 8 years is amazing:

For me, the flip-side was that I didn’t have to be chained to an office desk.

I could I read go out and about, and take calls from wherever I was at.

Our house phone is long gone! I'm retireded (correct spelling in my case), have an old cell phone and rarely use it. I do need communication occasionally, but I get to choose when and where.

I swam in a lake in Michigan that had peet moss about 4-5 feet under water. It was one of the creepiest feelings ever.
