What do you guys think is the best "pocket" gun out there right now? Something that's easy to conceal in light clothing and comfortable to carry, is in a decent enough caliber, and is pretty shootable (manageable recoil, easy to shoot accurately at typical self defense ranges).

I'm a fan of the Springfield Armory XDs in 9mm, though it's a little on the large size for a "pocket" gun. It's super thin though.

The P365 is an amazing pistol. Very concealable and yet a 10 round magazine of 9mm, and it shoots softer than most .380's.

The LCP is also very concealable. It's very flat and can be put into a pocket holster that never shows.

The Shield 9mm is my smallest, most concealable pistol, but no way I could pocket carry it. Maybe in the back pocket of a pair of Wranglers but I don't think it would be concealed completely.

My smallest and easiest to pocket cary are a Tarrus TCP 380 and an AMT Backup 45. Both are small enough for the pocket but the AMT is pretty heavy an you will feel it there all day. The TCP is similar to the Ruger LCP and disappears in the pocket and you "forget" it's there.
Weight is the price you pay for a tiny 45 and 380 is the price you pay for a teny tiny gun. Both have snappy recoil.

I have the original LCP and I like it a lot. I don't consider it to be very snappy at all. In fact, I enjoy shooting it.
