So,...... putting gasoline on a fire will help put it out?

I guess I just don't understand why you have a problem with fixing a broken organization.

Nope, but I wasn't doing it in the first place on YouTube. I just find it ironic that they are saying they want a strong NRA and at the same time are going public about their plans to do something that is unhelpful to making the NRA strong.
That's not how logic works though man. Ideals vs reality. Think of anything you'd like to see run well...the government, the healthcare industry or even the company you work for. Does the government get fixed if you pay more taxes? Healthcare industry improve because you pay a higher premium? Does working longer hours for your incompetent upper management improve work?

Define strong. Member #s are only one way to tell a tale.

I find no irony at all in their actions.

If you have principals against corruption, why would you want to promote a corrupt organization? They stated that they are still members, and that there is a need for the NRA, but gave reasons why they can't in good conscience promote it. Better to come right out with it then to leave those to wonder.

I have no problem with someone saying they support an organization and what it stands for, but don't support the current leadership of said organization. The organization is its members; the leadership is what needs to change.

I swear Hickok45 would take 30 minutes to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Exactly. Like The United Way. Their leaders were doing a LaPierre, and got the boot. NRA needs to do the same.

    Never trusted that character.

Never could put my finger on it, but something about him that made you feel vaguely embarrassed to be part of an organization he was running.

Reminded me of a vinyl siding salesman in a small rural town, in a leisure suit.

I left the NRA in late 2017. Their conditional support of Red Flag Laws (amongst other things) was the straw that broke the camels back for me. That proved to me they are not for the American people. Anyone that supports revocation of right(s) through accusation alone and before due process; is an immoral/unjust person and quite frankly un-American.

Which always makes me wonder about the ACLU, and how they got so leftist. One of our civil liberties is to have firearms.

What a gutless, mumbled and rambling presentation! I wonder if Bloomberg is paying them for this change in loyalty?

Been an NRA member for nearly my entire life and those two Knot Heads wanted me to choose Hickock or NRA. I made my choice!

Hickock and son...…. sorry I have no use for you!

I'm pretty sure they're not saying to choose between them and the NRA or even that they don't like the NRA. They're just no longer promoting new memberships until changes are made within the organization.

Can you tell me what the NRA has done for us in the past 5 years? Other than ask for more money and concede on points like bump stocks?
