Yes, but Houston does not get it a drop at a time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.As a matter of fact, Houston gets 49.77 inches annually, Portland, Or?
43 inches.
Seattle gets less sun than Portland, fact. I use to be one that spread crap like that back when the influx of Californians took place. Does it get many days of drizzly rain? Yes, but not all the time and certainly not 3 months at a time.Yes, but Houston does not get it a drop at a time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Folks once went over three months in Portland without seeing the sun.
Actually, several good friends lived in Portland. And they all related the story of over three months of not seeing the sun one winter. This was several years ago. Was a big topic of discussion when I flew out there.Seattle gets less sun than Portland, fact. I use to be one that spread crap like that back when the influx of Californians took place. I'm from Seattle and Portland. Certainly at times it seems like it, but that's an exaggeration.Actually, several good friends lived in Portland. Well, I know those folks well. And they are not liars. And they were dead serious when talking about it.I'm from Seattle and Portland. Certainly at times it seems like it, but that's an exaggeration.
The sad thing is, it wasn't always politically inept. There is a reason there is less sun and more dreary atmosphere in those cities. Being the arshole of the left coast they are only exposed to direct light when expelling sheit or associated gases. That's probably the reason for the smell as well as feces all over.

If you want overcast and drizzle, you'll certainly find it in the northwest near the coast. The few days in between where the sun comes are easily overlooked by many days of clouds. Washington is called the evergreen state for a reason.Spring of '96.
There were a couple of other years where we came damn close. I worked outside in the drizzle and cloudy skies.
