Welcome! Any number of ranges around in the area. Just depends on what you want and what part of town you are in. I am in Round Rock and there are probably 5 within an easy drive of me.
thank you! I’m in pflugerville and have only been to Red’s, but I prefer outdoor ranges that let you draw from the holster (which I know is hard to find). If you have any recommendations please let me know!

I haven’t figured out how to multi-quote yet so I apologize for the multiple posts I made.

I wanted to thank everyone for a warm welcome. Still not sure how I managed to live all those years in the Tri-state area!

I’m loving the southern hospitality and culture!

Welcome to the forum. Take a look at https://austinrifleclub.org/ but read the rules to make sure it is what you want. There are both stationary and action ranges, but with very specific rules for both. Tomfoolery is not tolerated on any of the ranges.
Thank you. Looks promising. When I get back from deployment I’m definitely paying them a visit to check it out.

That’s good that they don’t tolerate idiocy. I’ve been in enough dangerous situations at both civilian and military ranges to understand why they do what they do to enforce restrictions.

I believe Lone Star lets you draw from strong side.

Several of us here (Austin & forum) are members and we can take a guest out. Let us know, but warning, I travel a lot so am not always around.

Might Just take you up on that offer if you’re schedule permits! Thank you!

Or anyone else that’s as gracious!

This one may be a little closer to you than Lockhart.

Yeah. I'd never seen or heard of it. Lone Star is definitely a drive but the only one I knew of in the area that allowed holster work. I don't typically look for it though as I don't holster work in a non-controlled environment. I just don't trust the everyday Joe enough to not muzzle sweep me or have an ND
