    There is speculation out there that Chris Cox/ ILA loaned the NRA a bunch of money to stay afloat and WLP came back for a second helping and CC said “no”. The only other person in the ILA that could authorize a loan to the NRA is also on “administrative” leave.

    That's a kick in the nuts. You're supposed to be able to donate directly to the ILA so the money goes specifically to what people imagine the NRA does, without it going to LaPierre's wardrobe fund.
