Given the pipeline segment that was pigged and the relative lack of H2S and NORM that we encountered chances are pretty good that we kicked her with a mid 40's API gravity crude oil out that originated in Midland earlier in the week. That particular pig appears to carry it's own battery power onboard.

Yes they do. They ruin any electronic stuff you may have with you. It is one big magnet that measures thickness and identifies discrepancies in the wall and welds. Real neat device.
