I reload for a .25-45 Sharps and bought two 20 round stainless steel ASC mags from Gun Mag Warehouse as I was able to seat the bullets out to an overall length of 2.300" instead of the shorter 2.260". Tried the new mags at the range for my first loads and those mags are a waste of money.

The anti-tip follower tips and jams, the follower won't hold the bolt open on an empty mag, with only 5 rounds loaded the mag would not seat if the bolt was closed and the cases jam trying to load. One of the mags had part of the welded seam extending into the body and kept rounds from being loaded. Could have found a better way to spend $30.

Gun Mag Warehouse send a request for a review of my purchase. They asked for my name, email address - they already had those from the purchase - and a review. Gave them the same review as this one and a one star rating as I couldn't give zero stars. After posting the review, Gun Mag Warehouse emailed verifying my email address as to my review. After verifying that it was me, they deleted that review. They don't show any reviews with only one star and only two that have two stars.

I purchased these mags because they had great reviews, didn't realize they delete all the bad reviews. I went back to Gun Mag's site, clicked Contact Us, told them what I thought about the mags and them deleting my review. Not holding my breath waiting for a reply. They didn't make the mags, don't hold them responsible for that but they are responsible for deleting bad reviews as I'm sure mine was not the only critical one.
Definitely won't be doing business with them again and won't recommend them to anyone.

    hogh,

    Thanks.

    I'll unsubscribe.

I'd been allowing them to email me with various sales, but if they won't allow unflattering reviews, I don't trust them.

Glad I never bought what they sell.....

Have you tried d&h? Out of all my mags they offer the most room inside the mag body.

I’m interested in 25-45 sharps for my next build. Are you happy with it?

Now you know asc is shit and gunmagwarehouse used to be good but decided to distribute cheap shit. D&h is a cheap aluminum mag and they run good.

Those were the first loads I ran in it. Used Speer Hot-Cor 87 gr with different weights of AA2230, won't be using those two together. Most groups were 2-3" @ 100 yds, had one about 3/4" but the consistency was 2-3". Will try using different powders to see if I get better results.
Will load the 90 gr Sierra Game King with AA2230 to see if that combination works, next range trip.

Thanks for the info on D&H, will look into the mags.
