Me and a few buddies are looking for ranges in the dfw area. We have some pistols and rifles. So need to be able to shoot both. Maybe same day maybe not. Would prefer to bring our own ammo. Currently live in Irving, one lives in forney, another in frisco, another in arlington.

Where do you shoot in DFW?
What do you look for when choosing a "home" range?

    Thanks guys!
Check out Shoot Smart, they have three ranges in different parts of the DFW area. They are excellent at being helpful, family friendly, and good equipment. They also have private suites if you want more than a "classic" square range. Been going since they opened their first range in Keller and have had no bad experiences.

This site has a map of Texas Gun Ranges but it isn't interactive or organized in any useful way that I can figure out.

We need a map and list that is intractive and organized by area city or county. Doing this is way beyond my digital skills.

I’ve use targetmasters in garland for both and it’s cheap and no time limit plus indoors. 50 yards for rifle. I’ve used DFW gun club it’s 25 yards indoors and very nice. My favorite so far is B tactical in caddo Mills though because rifle has steel out to 300 or 400 yards if you qualify, which is very easy. I’ve been wanting to go to Triple C range around cleburne because they have steel out to a mile I believe. I know it’s 1000 yards for sure. That seems like it would be a lot of fun.

Any outdoor rifle and pistol ranges within 30-45 minutes in the McKinney area?

45 minutes at what time of the day lol mckinney is hard to get in and out of with traffic if on a time limit. Dallas has dfw gun range, garland gun range, targetmasters and some more. I think Allen has a good range too

I thought was closed and I know Gibson’s is on the way out/for sale.

There was a range near Emory but it’s closed down as well.
I have buddies out there and I told them to see if they could find the last owner and ask if they could shoot out there at their own risk for a hondo or so for a year or until it sells!
They’re not too motivated right now due to the heat I guess!

Back roads from McKinney to Garland are faster than 75 but 75 to Bush/Crist is easy after morning traffic is over. Doesn't open until 10AM anyway. 50/100 rifle. 20$/day fee.

I think we have one in NWHouston.

When the promo info came out I thought they were opening in several states.

The folks that go there give it great reviews.

I just can’t FO cash when I’m in a gun club already but that may change next year!

Anyone have experience with shoot point blank?
Member and go to Lewisville site fairly regular. Range Officers very friendly and helpful. Have not problem with collecting your brass. 25 yd range, rifle and pistol. Clean and comfortable lanes. Have not purchases guns or ammo from them but prices seem reasonable. Good about letting you rent guns from rental fleet, just have to use their factory ammo. Mix of highly experienced shooters and beginners usually on the range

Riflegear is moving their shop to The Colony and opening a range. Should be open real soon. I bought a membership because it's very close to my house so I hope it's nice.

Riflegear in The Colony is now open. They have 100 yard rifle lanes. At the 100 yard mark a camera is on your target and a display panel shows your rounds on the target.
