    I don't participate in those class action things anymore. I did it once years and years ago (before the internet was consumer level) and got a couple of dollars in the form of a check. I started reading the newspaper and made some phone calls and found out the lawyers made millions for my $2.

    I even had someone tell me that was what class action suits were all about. Payday for the lawyers, but they had to actually send something to the claimants to make it legit. It was always a worthless amount of money for the people who originally got screwed.

    They get thier millions no matter if you participate of not. Might as well take your $.

    Sure they did, but they're money goes up for each participant. If you opt out, they're money gets smaller.

    The one time a class action paid off for me is when Toyota got their ass handed to them for issues with their transmissions in their Rav 4s. I ended up getting every single penny refunded from when we had to replace our transmission.
