    With a couple of days extra training, and annual retraining, The State of Texas should offer an enhanced LTC that allows the holder to carry concealed, anywhere, regardless of signage, except in a courthouse. You'd be able to carry in a school, a store with a 30.06 sign, an establishment with a 51% sign, a gun free zone, etc.

    An enhanced LTC already exists, no extra training required. You just have to be in the right .gov job:

    Sec. 46.15. NONAPPLICABILITY.

    (a) Sections 46.02 and 46.03 do not apply to:

    (4) an active judicial officer as defined by Section 411.201, Government Code, who is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code;

    (6) the attorney general or a United States attorney, district attorney, criminal district attorney, county attorney, or municipal attorney who is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code;

    (7) an assistant United States attorney, assistant attorney general, assistant district attorney, assistant criminal district attorney, or assistant county attorney who is licensed to carry a handgun under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code;

    That place east of Waco....
    Yep. I actually expect people who carry a gun for a living to train as much as I do.
    Hoji....I've read your posts on this thread. I found several grammatical errors among those posts. Based on that, I recommend that your 1st Amendment rights be suspended and that you no longer be allowed to make statements in person and online. As someone who makes a living writing, I expect people who post here to practice proper writing as much as I do.

    You are clearly not a professional logician.

    It seems to me they were grouped in with judges and prosecutors?

    No it's a different case. If an LTC holder is employed as a judge or prosecutor (generally), his LTC becomes "enhanced" and he is allowed to carry in gun free zones where normal plebians are forbidden. He still must have the LTC however. Active and retired cops don't need the LTC.

    I've heard there's work being done on this idea, what do you think.

    I think it would make sense, the extra training would be good for the economy and Instructors, and LGS, and ranges and it would make us all safer.
    Riddle me this: So if someone who owns property does not want you on their property while armed, and they are well within their rights to keep you out while armed since it is their private property, you essentially want the government granted power to disregard their rights while making your rights more important than theirs - am I getting that right?

    I don't care what someone might say about disregarding 06/07 signs, if the owner or representative (manager) of the property tells you to leave and you don't, it could be considered criminal trespass. That's how, although I believe it's wrong, an owner or manager can tell LEO customers to leave.
