I'm still at least a week from ordering, so I'm still looking. I certainly don't mind the suggestions. The Zastava ZPAP was at the top of my list and the reviews were pretty positive, but that M+M M10x is like taking it to the next level, and I love the look and simplicity of it.
I haven't heard of the ZPAP. I'll have to go look at those.

I've heard of Zastava O-PAPs and M-PAPs, but not a Z-PAP. So I looked it up, and turns out it's new production...

The original PAP ("PAP" stands for Polu-Automatska Puška/Pištolj, or "Semi-automatic rifle/pistol") was a commercialized M70 with a single stack 10 round magazine, single stack bolt and bulged single stack trunnion.

The N-PAP was considered "Gen 2" and had straight-cut 1mm receivers, but added a double stack bolt and double stack "AKM" trunnion.

The O-PAPs are "Gen 3" and have a RPK-based bulged trunnion on a 1.5mm receiver.

The Z-PAP went back to the straight-cut 1mm stamped receiver, which is lighter but not true to the original M70 Yugo AKM.

I have a M70AB2 underfolder and a M70B1 fixed stock. They are heavier but in my opinion are better rifles.

One thing about all these rifles is that they never had chrome barrels as the Yugoslavs felt it interfered with the accuracy...

That M+M M10X does look nice. I like the rail for putting a red dot but for that price I think I would rather get the PSA KS-47. I haven't really heard about those. How is the accuracy compared to a regular AK?

Well, I was watching a video (iraqveteran8888) where they were hitting steel fairly consistently out to 400 yards.

Many videos were commenting that the accuracy is better than most AK platforms.

I like the fact that M+M sent out many prototypes to many of the well known video reviewers to get feedback on what they can change to make it better.

I had forgotten to mention that in that half hour video that iraqveteran8888 put out, one of the things mentioned that stuck with me, was he had taken his M10x barrel to a machinist to be able to put on his suppressor, the machinist told him it was one of the best AK barrels, materialwise, he had ever seen.

I’ve had mine for a while as well. I like it a lot. I had the set screw mod done, to cinch the inner steel receiver better to the outer extrusion. Run it with a Primary Arms 1-6
