How did Midland/Odessa go unnoticed? People must not hate flat, brown, grossly overcrowded, minimal services, wind swept, rudest drivers ever, people who can't park between the lines, pump jacks in your backyard, pump jacks in your front yard cities.

I wouldn’t argue too much with this group. I have a few more too. However as a Texan, a bad day in any of these would beat a good day in almost anywhere In California.

I worked out there 5 years and was miserable. Native Texans need to stay away from there.

People that aren't so called "woke" need to stay away from there.

I will have to research, but are they all run by democrats and shall we say diverse? I know when they do crime infested cities usually you see baltimore, philadelphia, chicago and detroit and all fit a couple characteristics.

Texas is a HORRIBLE place to live. The rattlesnakes, scorpions, and, heaven help us, heat. I cannot fathom how any reasonable human being would want to live in such a horrid place. If you consider yourself to be rational person, please, for the love of all that is good, please do not consider a move to that wretched place known as Texas.

However bad Harlingen may be, probably still beats the chit out of where they came from up up North!

Harlingen is pretty rough man. I felt safer in the pre-Katrina lower 9th ward. We overnighted there while crew changing out of Matamoros. It's not much better than Brownsville, just less garbage on the streets. We were hoping the border via helicopter at first, then that got to be too expensive. So we rolled in armored vans Sicario style from Harlingen to Matamoros airport.
