Looks like he had a TAVR procedure. I don't know his health status but those were initially done instead of traditional open heart surgeries because the patient had other comorbidities that make them high risk for the traditional open heart surgery. In those cases the TAVR will help in the short term but does not necessarily lengthen the mortality rate.
The TAVR procedure has been around for a while now and some lower risk patients are opting for this approach because you don't have to get your chest cracked. Mick Jagger had a TAVR this year.

The news I heard was he went to hospital for some routine tests and minor problems. Seems like there is a lot of sudden death problems in situations today.

The floor of congress has been busy with speeches for Cummings grit and signing subpoenas on his death bed. Word has it though that the signatures on the "letters' talking about a subpoenas being sent don't even contain his signature.
The Democrat Schiff led committees subpoenas are not real subpoenas at all but letters about a subpoena. These letters don't require anyone receiving them to appear as they don't carry the same judicial power.
A pension to whom? His wife is under investigation for problems with her Foundation.
