Toon town is a Free Shit Army Base. It has calmed down to the point that drum circles seem to be a thing of the past. I guess gigglefest still happens. I hated having to drive down renfair in the wee hours. To many wasted people on to narrow a road
I recorded many of the Renfair bands that worked it down through the years ... back when people still bought cassettes and CD's. Also played with many of the local musicians who played TRF during the season.
AAMOF, one of the widowed denizens just spent this past weekend with us up here in Hot Springs. Her husband played flute and whistle in Cantiga, and The New World Renaissance Band.
Cantiga is one of long time acts at TRF, playing there since its inception.
That was my initiation to toontown ...
The politics of Toon Town are such I could never be initiated in. Only person that I ever knew that lived in Toon Town moved off years ago, but still owns property there. For years I have called the area circling the festival the vortex of stupidity.

We will be there both days this weekend. I am excited.
Nice date weekend, I’ll expect. And we get to visit with my mom each night as we will drive back to her home in Huntsville each evening. It’s still an hour from Ren Fest but it saves us an extra 30 minutes or so each way if we were to journey home.
I have no interest in camping at the festival.

I got a gown on sale the last day of the festival. See pics. Enjoyed finding a jewelry set online to match during last Christmas. Sewed the skirt hikes myself.
We missed an important to us vacation during April 2020, Sherwood festival.
Had fun this weekend going out the the Brazoria Wildlife Refuge to take some photos of the new garb I’ll wear this year. I was hoping hubby would play too but he has to get his ensemble organized and pressed.
photos are hard because I often squint. A few turned out good.
we had fun and it was nice to get out together and do something.
sorry I failed at photo inserts and had dupes.
