    Hi,
I am currently majoring in Biochemistry with the goal of medical school
Several people have inquired about your thoughts on the second amendment, and I'm also mildly curious. Mostly because you're doing some research on the subject of firearm possession as a non-firearm owner

I tried to respond individually to those who asked the question, as to not potentially show any bias, but now that its being asked several times, I guess my answer to this question wouldn't necessarily be biased as the population I am investigating is limited to gun owners, who I would have to assume also agree with 2nd amendment. To answer the question, I do agree with 2nd amendment and also acknowledge that humans have always armed themselves throughout history.

My interest with this project and the survey I created is more in the decision of when to purchase a firearm and why, as my sample is being drawn from the population of Texas gun owners (this is why I chose to explore this specific site, TGT)

For some extra context, the reason I chose to do this kind of project for my statistics course is because I have a good amount of friends who purchased firearms, but they did so at vastly different ages and for different reasons. Of course, this is only anecdotal to my own experience, and my hope is to investigate this on a larger scale, esp in my home state of Texas (grew up in Houston).
