    Why is this even news? Eating on the platform is prohibited. Officer gives fine. Move on. If the citizens there don't like it than they should write to their local politicians.

    Simple.....it's news because of all the things that the state of CA or specific cities in CA are no longer prosecuting, ALL of which far exceed the ramifications of somebody eating a fucking sausage biscuit.

    Just spotlights the ridiculousness is all.

    Because the turd in uniform was being a dick about it. Hi, I'm Officer Fuckface, and if you could put away your sandwich or eat it somewhere else, that would be swell. How hard is that? But no. I'm ARRESTING you! For eating a sandwich! You're going to jail, man! Durrr respect mah authoritah! Never mind there's people shitting on the escalators.

    He did tell the guy to stop eating. When the officer came back he was still doing it. Then the guy started a disturbance on the platform and acting like a jackass so the officer arrested him. I just don't understand the issue. The laws are in place so follow the law. It make no difference how silly you think it is.

    The law was likely put in place due to people leaving food to rot on the trains causing health issues.

    As ironic as that is given other issues with CA, it’s not hard to see where the issues would come from. I don’t think it qualifies as being a slave by not being able to eat on public transit.
