Not a fan of the 9mm 1911's but no knock on them. They are just boring to shoot after running 45's and 10 mm for so long.

To your question...….yes. The Range Officer platform is a great shooter. I have owned many in 45 ACP and currently have 2 of them 1 that has been seriously modified. The RA is well built and accepts serious mods. This started out as an RA, It runs like a 9mm

Tell you what stand out there and let me shoot you with a 9mm. And then I will shoot you with a 45 and you can tell me the difference. No BS just facts from your personal experience.
OK. Who was that aimed (See what I did there) and that is not gonna happen...

My comment was in regards to recoil and overall shooting experience. And my preference. We have 3 9mm HD hand guns. CZ's. The spouse likes them.

I don't believe you were targeted, so, no worries.

I asked about that specific model, in that specific caliber for good reasons.

The debate as to proper defense calibers is ongoing. I would really prefer not being shot. Even with a pellet gun...……..:bring:

Since we're doing 1911s...here's a '43 Colt 1911A1 wearing a post-war (fully hardened) GI slide for shooting. Original, numbered slide is also shown. Older slides were only partially hardened (front end) and MIGHT crack. A hard post-war GI slide for shooting preserves your WWII (or WWI) pistol in collectible shape.
