    They had crow hunting contests back when I was a kid, and even before that. My dad, grandpa and uncle in the newspaper 1948. 600 crows.

    Let's see. Semi auto shotgun. No plug. High Velocity 1 1/4 oz load of #6. When they take off like the picture 5-6 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger, center group. With blackbirds we gave up counting over 100.

    Back when I used to hunt crows there was a Game Warden that was hanging out at a gun shop in the the same county I was hunting. I asked him what is the law on hunting crows. He said you can only hunt them if they are destroying your property.

    I then asked him what was his personal take on it. He said, “ in my opinion, when a crow wakes up in the morning the only thing on his mind is destroying your property”.

    It sure was a nice feeling not having to look over our shoulders anymore.
