“Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo maintained that the officers had a reason to be in the home.”

What the hell is he going on about?

His officers lied, repeatedly, to bring the law into these people’s home...that’s not an acceptable reason for HPD to be in the home.

Shameful that he’s still trying to justify it.

Someone needs to use this to fight the mayor's reelection campaign.

Laziness led them to target that house? I don't get it.
Laziness in the sense that by actually doing their jobs and investigating possible criminal activity is too much like work and just setting up folks that look guilty of something and planting drugs after the fact is a whole lot easier and will pad your service record with lots of “bad guys/ guns/drugs off the street numbers”

That makes sense but I guess I'm wondering how that house and that couple ever got on Goines radar.

Acevedo was an ass in Austin and he is an ass in Houston......just glad Austin is not dealing with him anymore.

They were at the house due to the lies and constant bs reports of a neighbor. The lazy police work filled in the rest. She was also indicted on federal charges.

    It's in the stories.

Also interesting is how one of the officers always/most always.....dont want to be inaccurate in my relaying of the info here...said a no knock was required due to guns in the residence he was submitting an affidavit for a search warrant for. Some how guns were rarely if ever seized. The question posed is the feds are looking at what happened to those guns. Were they trafficked, kept or just more lies in affidavits.

Im still trying to understand the odds of a bullshit caller having their call wind up in a crooked LEOs hands. Then, said crooked LEO gins up more lies to get a warrant, then delivers that warrant execution style. Just too many dots needing to be connected to not be intentional from the get go.

I don’t know what’s not being released but, of what’s been released, it still stinks to high heaven.

And PDs wonder why the general public is losing trust in them.
