Masked guy with bat trying to block your way... You can make an argument for driving away using your car as a ram like he did due to threat of car jacking. Stopping, stepping out to engage the guy, not sure what his legal argument would be. I wish laws were written to insure that those acting outside the law were not afforded the protections if the legal system aka get FUBARED during the commission of a crime and you’re on your own, but that isn’t the world we live in.

And why they continue to do stupid shit and attack people. Because there is no punishment for their violence. Unfortunately, we have devolved into a society that thinks retreating from violent acts is a more appropriate response than defense or retribution and punishment for it.

You bet it is. = When I was the PM at a WS Army post, a LUNATIC killed TWO people "downtown" with an aluminum T-Ball bat.
(Our office was not involved other than an "off duty" MP was an eyewitness & testified, as the incidents were "off-post".)
The GOOD NEWS about "the NUT with the bat" was that he was SHOT in the belly by a city policeman, when he tried another attack about 20 minutes later.
(He survived the UGLY .357MAG wound, had several surgeries, spent over a month in the hospital & later was convicted/sentenced to prison for life W/O parole.)

i wish the video had started a minute or two sooner, but if you go back and look at the very beginning, you can see that the driver had already been out of his vehicle once. It would have been good to see how this all started.
