You know you made an impression when he opens his safe for you. I just stick with the common calibers. I guess 300blk is my oddball caliber.

Genuinely enjoyed reading about the connection with your neighbor.

    Nice hogs.

And, thank you for your service, sir!

Expecting a build thread in the near future!

Marines are a unique breed. Often when we find another Marine, we are like family, especially those who have so much in common.

Army, but have a Marine friend up here at the lake, served in the same AO at pretty much at the same time in RVN, get together nightly to cuss liberals, drink vodak, and insult the hell outtta each other.

Something in that old saying about a Marine being your worst enemy and your best friend ...

Also funny that it is the same two calibers that got you going.

My wife is adamant that I shouldn’t reload. She thinks I will blow myself up. I started shopping and made a list of the setup I would need back in 2012-2013 during the ammo shortage.

Reloading or not, I think I am going to need another safe soon.

At least she dont think the reloading stuff wiil cause cancer for everyone in the house...lol. i have a friend whos wife thinks all the re loading stuff causes cancer in the house.

I will reccomend getting a JP high pressure bolt when you go 6.5cm. Ive had issues with blown primers on Hornady American Gunner 140gr bthp.
After doing some research on line it seems to be a common problem with the 6.5cm. They say the firing pin hole on most .308bcg's is too large & causes over pressure sometimes. Ive read try using heavier buffer & adjustable gas block... but the common solution is the JP HP bolt.
I just ordered the JP HP BCG last night...we'll see if it makes it purrrr.

Let us all know how that goes. Definitely something to look for.

BRD and PRD are your friends. I am never leaving the Dark Side. I have slowed down a little. According to California, everything causes cancer.

Heres the new JP HP bolt & firing pin compared to a normal & firing pin .308 bolt.
