It amazes me so many people call the Serpa “dangerous”. Marines and some Navy have been using them for years. Keep your booger hook off the bang button and you’re golden. As with all things, training and muscle memory are key.
It amuses me the number of people who defend a shitty design. To each their own.

I've carried my Serpa clipped to my hat and have yet to shoot myself int the head...

Seriously though, I've never owned one because I much prefer Safariland, but I've tried one on more than one occasion and never managed to get my finger on the trigger, unless I meant to. Given, I've never used one under stress. However, I know Mil and Police have been using them for years and given the amount of people who have used them, additionally with the amount of times they've used them under moderate to severe stress, it's clearly not enough to call it a shitty design, or claim it's dangerous by nature. If I'm not mistaken, there are more incidents of reman ammo blowing polymer handguns to hell, yet we still use reman, and quite enthusiastically.

This article is a good read.

I'm totally open for the design to be shitty and dangerous, but if someone is to make that claim, I'd like to request that I be well educated as to the facts of the matter, instead of just hit with baseless statements.

For the record, I'll most likely never own one of these. I'm glad there are better holsters out there, but if I were mil or PD, I wouldn't think twice about it being my issue.

You must’ve missed where I shared the PDF file from FLETC? So yes, I’ve stated it’s shitty and provided shitty references.

Isn’t that the one the states “Holster design is not the sole causative factor for any of these incidents. Shooter error related to violation of one of the four cardinal firearms safety rules is a contributing factor for these discharges.”

In essence, their position is shitty people using a design not tolerant of shitty performance increases the risk of a shitty thing happening.

That’s pretty much life in a nutshell.

Yeah, rarely is any one thing the sole causative factor. Even insurance companies list fault in percentages.
