    Cooper Model 52 Classic in .270, - $1200

Very clean and in great shape. The scope on it is a Bushnell Banner and though it is coming with rifle, is not being considered in the price.

FTF only sale in San Antonio with TXDL.

Ah, what the hell - per our discussion, ah'm gonna take THIS one, too!
I gotta say. The prices were right. The opportunity was given. (At least to everyone in this timezone.) The BS has cleared.
TXRN has shown a good bit of class.
Bravo. I sure hope the lady and her's have a good Christmas.

I do so like this forum.

It's a shame that the market is so soft on classic bolt action hunting rifles like this one.

It's soft on all firearms. I'm watching 1911's that should be walking out the door sit, priced at 70% of book value. It's nuts. Thing is, we had an 8 year feeding frenzy, and the market is just saturated.....for now.

I’m calling No Way on your 1911 statement.
Everything I’m seeing is overpriced. Some by WTF amounts.
Most shops selling quality 1911’s seem to think $1911 is the starting price.

I'm convinced our local shops are all over priced. It's probably Carter's Country fault.

Depends on the shop - and attitude of both parties, I suspect. I've never paid askin' price in a pawn shop - and have usually gotten good deals. If not, I walk.
Same here, but I quit looking after seeing a Bersa .380 marked and priced as a Beretta and when I pointed it out to the manager the smarmy cocksucker tried to convince me that it was a rare Beretta that was mis-stamped at the factory in Italy, thus commanding a premium price.
I walked, and have not even tried to shop pawn shops in the Austin area since.
