My knowledge is apparently out of date. At one time, Mec-Gar was considered a very solid maker. Did that change?
    I could be mistaken honestly.

I have always held them in low regard but can't remember why or what happened to cause it.

I want to say I had some of their Desert Eagle mags that failed to impress but that was many years ago.

Again, the mag for this pistol works great. Time to reevaluate my opinion maybe.

The weather wasn't the best for a real accuracy test but the RIA still did pretty well. It was 45° and raining.

Offhand unsupporter shooting produced a 4" or so group and supported shooting didn't really bring it down much. This was me placing my arms on a wet bench so that didn't help.
    Just for information.

You cant accuracy test in the rain. Rain drops will deflect bullets. So dont think that's the result of just wet tables.
Clarification not needed. I and I suspect most others inferred from Dawico's writing that accuracy tests must be conducted in a vacuum.

My local gun store had a 22TCM/ 9mm Rock Island combo for a good price so I picked it up.
I know this thread is about the round but I'm interested in what model gun and perhaps the price if you're willing to say.

All guns in that caliber from RIA are combo guns if I'm not mistaken. Since the rounds parent is 9mm.

    I did.

Also looked on RIA's site and they don't show a combo with 9mm.
Rock Island Armory TCM TAC Ultra FS HC Combo would fit the bill. Not to say that's for sure the model. Apparently there were something like seven varients with that combination

Higher IQ anuses not withstanding, schlieren photography demonstrates quite clearly that raindrops deflect bullets quite a bit. Many say this is impossible, point being it was probably the reason for the groups more so than wet tables and slippery arms if the gun was shot off a rest.

To follow with a High IQ anus question of my own, can a gun fire in a vacuum? Are there enough nitrates in the powder to over come absence of atmospheric oxygen?

These show on RIA's site. At least they did 20 seconds ago. :p
