Weather cleared up pretty nice out here. Time to get all that road grime off.

So wheres the one you bought?
I wasn't car shopping. I have a (very rough and original) 1950 chevrolet styleline deluxe. I was shopping for a builder for when the time comes that I can throw some money at my car, and that will be many moons from now. If I had the funds, I'd have looked very hard at this 1940 Mercury, but it wasnt for sale.

    Was that a Deluxe?

Helped my dad build a ‘40 Ford Business DeLuxe in it in the early 80s. We got it with a clean body that was primered, no interior, and a Buick V6, IIRC.

Went with buckets up front and a deep black with gold flake in it.

That got traded for a ‘56 Crown Vic that was featured in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and ended up being sold to one of the stunt drivers. @BRD66 might remember a couple of those cars we had.

Wouldn't have a clue. While both are incredibly talented builders whom I admire, their cars are just not my style.
