I’ve decided to stop posting what I know due to all the trolls in the thread. No use posting good information if it’s just going to get buried by a bunch of silly memes.

Read the first three pages. Jumped to the last three pages to see where the convo was at. Started with Glocks vs metal frame guns...ends with ballistics of 308vs3006vs30-40, and simultaneous discussion of impotency of 9mm vs 40. Nothing left to rehash about plastic vs metal. Quite the off topic drift in just 20 pages.

I like metal guns to shoot (my personally hand built 1911 having a special place), but I carry a Sig P365XL and shoot that most just to stay proficient. I spend more time with precision rifle work than ar/cqb/rapid fire when it comes to the rifle category.

Perhaps similarly, I hate eating with plastic flatware. Almost rather eat with my hands. Even cheap metal flatware is annoying. Guess my mouth and hands both prefer smooth, polished metal, but there are times for both when that's not practical.

Funny thing is this, I used to be adamant about steel guns. Then I realized some of the best BEST handguns are plastic made. Some that really glow away their steel completion. Have you owned an HK? Or shot an HK? They’ll change your life.

Well, someone took the liberty to quote it in the (unknown to me) "out of context quotes" forum. Pretty funny. Oddly enough, that was an untended pun which maybe makes it funnier. I wish I was that clever. I might have a different career.

Hard to beat blued steel. Except when you carry all the time. My scandium 357 mag weighs 2 oz less than my 642. Yeah its kinda snappy. But it doesn't hurt my back.
