    A lady I know inherited some guns from her brother, and I am helping her sell them. She is not a gun person, and has no idea of the value of any of these, so I am lending a hand.

    First up is a Russian SKS, complete with CCCP-xxxx serial number. Its in really good shape, original wood, etc. No clue how many rounds went through this one, but it looks like maybe none. No scratches noted on the stock, but I will look closer tomorrow.

    Will not ship, but could meet as far south as Waco.

    The Russian SKS rifles were marked 1,2 or 3 on the front sight base to indicate their accuracy potential. Check it out!

    I won a first and a second place in NRA 200 yard competition with an unmodified Yugo SKS using Russian steel cased ammo. The rifles shoot good!

    #1 is the most accurate. That pertains to Russian SKS rifles only. Actually, the Yugo SKS rifles did splendid service for me with the Russians a close second. I've owned a large number of Russians, Yugos and a few Chinese rifles. They're all good, but they went to other homes.

    Many folks complain about the ten round built in magazines and convert the rifles to the removable "duck bill" magazines. The NRA matches required reloading in two stages. The stripper clips (yes, they are actually called clips) work very fast just as designed. The clips engage slots in the forward part of the bolt. Use them as is and don't jack with the design!
