(To my knowledge, NO former servicemember was EVER released from the oath that we all took & that it remains binding u[on each of us for life. = Some people say that NOBODY can release us from our oath, as long as our Republic exists.)

I've come to believe the day will soon come when we EX-GIs will be out HUNTING those "- - - - enemies domestic" on the streets of the USA.

I truly HOPE that I'm 100% WRONG but I see exactly what you said happening from coast to coast & us "old GIs" out HUNTING these CREEPS, when EVIL EVENTS occur & the LEFTIST city governments will NOT take effective action.

Fyi, I "monitor" some of the LOONY LEFT sites & completely believe that we are headed toward a situation that will make the HORRID MESS in Chicago 1968 look like a Sunday School picnic.

There numerous outright threats that the FAR LEFT will BURN DOWN Milwaukee during the DIMocRATS Convention IF "Bernie, the Commie" isn't the nominee & FAR WORSE violence all over the USA, when DJT wins again.

You're darn right. I took that oath in '91 and will be obliged to fulfill it till they lay me to rest. My son didn't join the military, but I raised him well. Even though he didn't "officially" take that oath, he did before me and pledged the same. Just because one is not in service (military or public), does not exempt one from defending our Nation and Constitution.

You might remind your son that he CAN (and imo SHOULD) join a local unit of THE TEXAS STATE GUARD.
(Thousands of young/patriotic Texans may well be NEEDED by our Lone Star State for local defense.)
