    Have to go to Denver and thinking about whether I should carry since I'm going to be downtown by Union Station. In the "Teammates Policies" (employee handbook) it reads as follows;

    • Violent Conduct
    ***list of crap***
    Possessing a prohibited weapon (defined below)
    ***list of more crap***

    • Prohibited weapon
    A prohibited weapon includes, but is not limited to any gun, rifle, firearm, explosive device, knives, stun gun or other weapon restricted or outlawed under federal, state or local law, or that could cause serious bodily harm, unless otherwise allowed by state law.

    Now I read that to mean if it/you are legal then good to go. Thoughts, opinions, snarky comments?

    This would seem to indicate that you are okay if your gun is not restricted or prohibited by federal/state/local law; and it is otherwise allowed by state law. To be 100% sure, you would have to consult an attorney.

    I read it as illegal stuff is illegal.

    If you are legal then you are legal.

    Assuming:
    a. that's the current definition verbatim;
    b. you have a Texas CHL, and;
    c. not superceded by some other restriction (e.g. carrying in a restricted location with permanent detectors installed, stadium, etc.)

    then you should be good to go.

    fwiw, I would absolutely endorse carrying if possible in that area.

    ETA: Recommend sticking with something that doesn't exceed 15 round capacity.

    I was once told that in that area in Denver, it you find the guy walking next to you has his hand in your pocket, you better hope he is after your wallet.
