Took my son to one in SAT over Christmas. He’s a Ranger, and the tomahawk is special to the Rangers.

It’s kind of like darts, except with hatchets. Beer is approved for consumption during the matches.

I won’t be going back without him, though.

Wife wen't to one last summer, said it was a lot of fun. Her and her sisters. Had a few drinks, wore some beards and threw some axes. I can appreciate it because I'm an avid dart thrower myself. I told her when spring rolls around, we can build us a axe throwing set up in the back yard.

I first heard about this a year or so ago. Watched a You Tube video from a competitive “ladies league” practicing at an indoor range (in Pennsylvania, as I recall). This particular ladies team met once a week to practice axe throwing. Struck me (no pun intended) as a little strange... but mildly entertaining.

Been twice for a team building event (Bad Axe, Winnipeg, MB) and it was enjoyed by a diverse (age, gender, tightness of pants/hipsterness) group of us.
