    I'm 70+ and when I was younger I'd say the 1911, but then VN happened and I became intimately familiar with the Beretta 9mm. The AF switched over when I was in basic. Now the GUN that represents my generation is the M16, good, bad or indifferent.

    I wasn’t born until 1949 but the 1911 in .45ACP is the handgun that defines the last four generations.

    So many beautiful top line performance weapons- I have a 1911 .45 and a few 9mm- love all of them- Thanks for this thread guys, nice to hear about other folks toys and tools!
