The striking point driven home as I watched the first 1/2 hour was that Bloomers kept bragging how much money he spent to fund Congressional candidates. He SMELLS LIKE TRYING TO BUY ELECTIONS and I personally think it would be healthy for both parties for get on board with putting an end to Mr. Deep Pockets and his ilk affecting elections. Bloomers has spent $400M on campaign ads so far? This is getting obscene; the ultra rich can buy their way onto a prez debate stage. He should have stuck to banning big gulps.

...He SMELLS LIKE TRYING TO BUY ELECTIONS...

You do realize that every single election is bought, don’t you? Whether it’s taxpayer dollars, donor contributions, PAC fundraising, or self-funded, they are all bought; it’s just a matter of who they owe favors to in the end.

    https://www.fec.gov/introduction-ca...ctions/public-funding-presidential-elections/

If someone wants to pony up their wallet and not take a taxpayer handout and also not ask me for money, I’m okay with that.

I don't like that he can use his money to try to influence elections outside of the ones he can vote in.

Ah, but is it okay for anyone other than Bloomberg to do that?

Here’s a roundup of the last mid-term’s big spenders, many of whom have been on the list for a long time. Of note, Tom Steyer is on there and he’s running, too.

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...spending-top-political-donors-sheldon-adelson

Even Trump did it in 2018.

    https://www.texastribune.org/2018/07/27/trump-donations-texas-republicans-congress/

I’m okay with not liking the outsized influence, but to think it’s only limited to Bloomberg is naive.

Where did you eat at? Was it worthwhile?

The Rustic at The Rim. 2lbs crawfish (on the small side). In general the food is good across the board. I’d go there more often, but it’s posted 51%.

We usually go for Pat Green when he’s playing there and that’s about it.

Who thought it was only little mikey doing this? I generally dislike the idea of someone from outside the jurisdiction attempted to change their laws, how they vote or are governed.

Nope. But I'll catch the highlights on YouTube.
No need for youtube. Any group of old guilty white people screaming at each other will do.

Basically any day room of any retirement home with Alfred P Neruman as the orderly and Clobewhat the phuck her name is as the nurse handing out laxatives. All while the deaf senile people scream at each other.

Guess my point was not that folks can't give money as they like but to end the obscene spending that buys elections by one individual regardless or who that is... bloomers, trumpet, or Mr. Soros, etc. Rich have too much influence on who is elected and that includes big biz, pharmies, etc. Not sure how to get this sorted but it does need fixed.

I was kind of confused regarding the superdelegate thing the lefties use to overturn the wishes of the folks in their own party and this Washington Post article didn't do a lot to shed light on this but helped some. Between 14-20 percent of the delegates at the DNC national cluster are superdelegates and perhaps the Bern's constant whining about HRC stacking the deck against him was address during the off cycle internal lefty on superdelegate rules:
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ates-of-their-powers-will-it-matter-for-2020/

As far as the Bernie's proletariat "revolting" most are revolting and have a long term memory of about 8 seconds and will go back to their parent's basement and their gaming.
