Is there anybody here from Muenster? I passed through Muenster Friday night on the way to check on my property and was surprised to see a lot of traffic turning off of 82 onto the main drag through down town. All of the vehicles appeared to be full of people, most, not all of which looked to be teenaged kids. There were even pickup trucks with the cab full and people in the bed, also. As much traffic going in to the drag was also coming up.

So was there something going on or was this the normal Friday night cruising? Just curious. Social distancing did not seem to be a consideration.

I heard from an old GF tonight that my hometown (town of my birth) has effective as of tonight, reinstituted "making the drag" on Saturday night ala the 50s & 60s. Driving up & down Commercial Ave - a two mile main street from the courthouse to the Dairy Queen. Probably most of the participants are 70ish yr old boomers. They apparently got together on their hometown/neighbors facebook page & after a weak 1st effort (last Sat nite) said Let's Do It!

We had a couple of places to cruise back in the 1970's and 1980's. The main one was the shopping plaza. You could cruise around the circle of the parking lot, or park in the center and visit.

By the late 80's the young punks ruined it by drinking and leaving trash like broken beer bottles and cans strewn about. Cops started writing tickets and running people off.

Was a lot of fun. Lots of fun if you had a cool car!
